EDD Debit Card
The EDD or Employment Development Department debit card is the gateway to receiving payments for all the EDD benefits, such as Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave, and Unemployment Insurance.
EDD, in partnership with Bank of America, will issue you a Visa debit card that is valid for three (3) years, starting from the date it’s issued. Since you’re going to receive your payments via this debit card, you have to keep this until it’s expired.
Holders of this card may use it anywhere Visa is acknowledged. The EDD Card holder may access their funds anytime, anywhere. This means you may withdraw cash from ATM machines, from point of sale terminals (business centers where you can purchase a product or service), and other financial institutions where Visa is accepted.
